Skin Ethos is a micro facial spa that embodies my ethos of skin-focused esthetics: I offer inclusive products backed by science, provide education to help you gain confidence and control of your skin, and customize effective treatments with respect to your lifestyle.

At Skin Ethos, both your skin care goals and lifestyle are considered to find realistic solutions; therefore, every facial is completely customized, and comfort is prioritized. This ensures your treatment is appropriately corrective and supportive. All customized facials include double-cleanse, skin analysis, exfoliation/chemical peel, mask(s) and/or massage with the use of professional skin care products. These essential steps are always balanced with relaxation and calm – soft, warm lighting, layered blankets, and a quiet space to just be.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I appreciate your business at Skin Ethos. So that I can best serve all clients, please be advised of these policies.

Arrival Time

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service. Services shortened due to a late arrival will still be charged the original cost of the service.

Deposits, Rescheduling, Canceling, and No-Shows

A deposit is required to book all appointments at Skin Ethos. The deposit will go towards the total of the service.

At least a 24 hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment. Deposits of appointments that are rescheduled 24+ hours before the scheduled time will be transferred to the new appointment time. Deposits of appointments that are canceled 24+ hours before the scheduled time will be refunded. Appointments rescheduled or canceled in less than 24 hours will forfeit the deposit. No-show appointments will forfeit the deposit.

Sickness or Emergency

If you or another person in your household has an infectious or contagious illness or there is an emergency, please contact Skin Ethos as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment for a later date. There is no penalty in this case. I appreciate you prioritizing the health and safety of yourself, myself, and my clients!

Product Order Cancellations

Product orders can only be canceled within 24 hours of ordering. After 24 hours, orders cannot be canceled or refunded. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

FAQ

Can I text Skin Ethos?

Yes! The Skin Ethos number, (816) 484-3853, can receive both texts and calls. In fact, appointment confirmation and communication will always be sent to you via text. I will respond to calls and texts as promptly as possible from the hours of 8am to 7pm on all the days I am open except for Saturday.

I have never had a facial/I’ve never been to Skin Ethos. What should I book?

No decision-fatigue here! There is a specific facial for all new clients called the New Client Facial. It includes a consultation to determine your skin care goals and my recommendations for you.

What should I wear to my facial?

Whether you're coming to the spa on a day off or on the go from an errand or work, I will have everything prepared to ensure your comfort while at Skin Ethos. During your facial you will lie down on the treatment bed with a sheet and blanket to cover you. Because I want to avoid getting product on your shirt, a tube-top gown that snaps is provided. I recommend tucking the sheet and blanket under your arms to keep it comfortably in place over the chest area.

What should I do with my hair for my facial?

Your hair will be arranged behind you with a headband so the hair flows straight back and away from the face and decollete area. It is normal to have a little bit of moisture around the hairline by the end of the facial from wet towels.

Do I need to remove my makeup before my facial?

Removing makeup before a facial is very helpful and much appreciated! However, if you're unable to, I will remove the makeup with an oil cleanse.

Do I need to remove my jewelry?

I recommend removing earrings and necklaces before a facial. Any facial piercings that cannot be removed, such as nose piercings, can be left in. I will gently work around them.

Where do I park?

The building has its own parking lot making it easy to park very close to the entrance.

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Per the Skin Ethos Cancellation Policy, appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled at least 24 hours before the appointment time. Deposits are transferable when appointments are rescheduled within the appropriate time frame. Deposits are refunded when appointments are canceled within the appropriate time frame. This can be done online or by sending a message to (816) 484-3853.

When should I book my next facial?

In general, it is recommended to have a facial every 3-4 weeks. During your appointment, we will talk about what works best for you based on your skin analysis and specific goals.

When should I book my next wax appointment?

In general, it is recommended to book a wax appointment every 3-4 weeks.

I filled out several forms for my first appointment. Do I have to fill them out again?

Yes, there are some forms that must be filled out before every appointment. No, there are no exceptions. This informs me of any changes that may affect your skin to ensure an effective and safe facial!

Does Skin Ethos have a referral program?

Yes! A $10 referral bonus will be applied to the service of the person you refer AND to the next service you book for yourself (the referred person must receive their service for your discount to become active).

Can I bring my children to my appointment?

Safety is my first priority. Because of the tools and machines in the treatment room, it is not safe to have children unattended in the room. Therefore, children cannot be brought to appointments.
