Body Waxing Pre Care

Hair Length

Check the length: Grow your hair to at least 1/4 inch (about the size of a grain of rice). This usually means waiting 3 to 4 weeks after your last wax, or about 2 weeks if you are transitioning from shaving.

• Avoid shaving: Do not shave between your waxing appointments.

Skin Preparation (24–48 Hours Before)

Gently exfoliate: Scrub the area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs. Stop using harsh physical scrubs right on the day of the wax.

• Pause strong skincare: Stop using retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), or acne medications on the treatment area 3 to 5 days prior, as these thin the skin and increase the risk of lifting or irritation.
• Avoid the sun: Stay out of tanning beds and avoid heavy sun exposure or sunburns for at least 24 to 48 hours before your visit.
